Bookkeeping: Quickbooks (Compulsory), Caseware (Preferable), Caseview (Preferable), Taxprep (Preferable), other tax software, one-year relevant experience with a small or midsized CPA firm (Compulsory), Accounting fundamentals, excellent data entry speed, Comfortable in communicating with the Canada Revenue Agency, Preparation and filing of HST/GST returns.
Administration: Establish work priorities, Ensure deadlines are met, Ensure general and office procedures are followed, Review official correspondence, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures, Greeting clients at the reception, Answering phone calls, Scheduling Office appointments, Mailing and couriering documents, Receiving faxes and mail and distributing to the staff, Filing of documents and boxing of old files, Scanning documents, Maintaining office supplies, Maintain and order office kitchen supplies, Printing and assembly of financial reports and tax returns, maintain general office tidiness, assisting other staff members with data entries or other administrative work, preparing monthly newsletters, delivering documents to the Canada Revenue Agency.
Transportation/ Travel information: The potential candidate needs to have her vehicle. Need to go to the client site and Canada Revenue Agency offices on as need basis.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks.
Office hours: 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
