JOB DESCRIPTION
The responsibilities of this position include preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns. The candidate will be trained and supervised by staff to do a variety of personal income tax returns that include calculation of capital gains, reporting of self‐employment and rental income and expenses, preparing HST returns and various other T1 calculations. The job also includes the preparation of corporate financial statements and corporate tax returns, preparation of T4/T5 slips. A good knowledge of the accounting cycle is important.


REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate for this position will be required from January to April 2019. The candidate’s strengths should include time management, communication and organizational skills. The position requires the candidate to have excellent computer skills and have experience with Taxprep, Caseware, Caseview and Quickbooks.

Administration: Establish work priorities, Ensure deadlines are met, Ensure general and office procedures are followed, Review official correspondence, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures, Greeting clients at the reception, Answering phone calls, Scheduling Office appointments, Mailing and couriering documents, Receiving faxes and mail and distributing to the staff, Filing of documents and boxing of old files, Scanning documents, Maintaining office supplies, Maintain and order office kitchen supplies, Printing and assembly of financial reports and tax returns, maintain general office tidiness, assisting other staff members with data entries or other administrative work, preparing monthly newsletters, delivering documents to the Canada Revenue Agency.

Transportation/ Travel information: The potential candidate needs to have her vehicle. Need to go to the client site and Canada Revenue Agency offices on as need basis.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks.

Office hours: 9.30 am to 5.30 pm

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
